Red, White and Bingo at the Oakland Senior Center went off like a firework! Our businesses had a blast calling numbers for 75 of Oakland’s favorite residents. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of numbers, glamorous gift baskets and gift cards, delicious sandwiches and a special treat of root beer floats!
“Working with the Oakland Senior Center has been truly wonderful,” says Lindsey Smith, President of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce. "Our guests have been a delight and we had a great time during our Red White and Bingo event."
As guests won each game, businesses brought over their prizes and smiled for a photo op. "When the basket was won for JB Pet Supplies and the winner found out there was a gift card in this large prize, she exclaimed 'I am going to give this to my grand-puppy!' I love seeing the excitement on the winners faces when they win," says Smith.
"Human Resources Manager of ShopRite, AJ Laura, has been instrumental in securing donations, not just for this event but for many others in Oakland, this year," continued Smith. "Bhopal Sewpersaud from M&T Bank has been lovely to work with on this event, as has Colin from M&T Bank, Stacy and Christine from Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Dr. Lopez from Revival Health and Greg from J-B Pet Supplies. Andrea Levy, who is involved in numerous Oakland initiatives, is always ready to step up to the plate as well for one of our events. We had a really tremendous group at Red, White and Bingo."
This event was generously sponsored by Oakland's M&T Bank, Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, J-B Pet Supplies, Andrea Levy of Weichert Realtors, and Revival Health. The large sandwiches from ShopRite of Oakland were sponsored by M&T Bank and the Oakland Chamber of Commerce. Root beer floats were donated for this event by ShopRite of Oakland.
The OCoC will be doing even more scheduled events, bringing our partnering businesses right to the Oakland Community.
