Welcoming Bagel Supreme of Oakland to the OCoC
A warm welcome to Bagel Supreme of Oakland in joining the Oakland Community of Commerce. We stopped in to introduce ourselves and get to know Mo and Shaima who not only run this family-owned business but who are Oakland residents.
Mo and Shaima have lived in Oakland for about two and a half years now, along with their two children, 8 1/2 yr old Rakan and 14 month old Leah. Their Bagel Supreme of Oakland opened on September 20th, 2020. Mo and Shaima were well into the planning stages when the pandemic began and made the decision to stay the course and we are so very glad they did.
When you stop into Bagel Supreme of Oakland, you'll find a fresh variety of bagels and spreads, coffees and croissants, fresh juices, salads and prepared foods (some with a middle eastern slant).
Shaima, a dedicated mom, is also fully dedicated to serving the Oakland community with their scrumptious breakfast and lunch menu and it looks like things are going well as they were just wrapping up a very busy Wednesday morning full of orders.
When asked what they like to do during their down time, Shaimaa enjoys streaming movies on Netflix and Mo is a big soccer fan (Manchester United by heritage and Liverpool by choice). He is also, a big follower of global economies and geopolitics.
"Small business is the lifeblood of America. At Bagel Supreme of Oakland and over the past year and a half, I have never laid off or furloughed an employee rather we always encourage for more hiring to support us and to keep serving our community and our customers."
